Match Details

The Seniors held on for a draw in a dramatic match against Hampton Rovers and kept their place in fourth spot , but it was a hard grind against a desperate Hampton where neither team could get more than two goals ahead all day.

Luke Velluto was dominant in the ruck throughout the day in another powerhouse display , Captain Mal Mitris gave OIG a much needed focal point of attack with his strong marking and general strength in contested situations , Trent Marshall and Oscar McIntyre in defence held Hampton`s forwards in check, and Seamus Gibbs and Jake Erman provided pace and attack around the ground. Up forward , Jake Welham , Richard Skok, Gibbs and Brendan Lee all kicked 2 goals in low scoring match , with Lee providing a big target in several crucial marking contests .

In a dramatic end, a Hampton forward had a kick for goal after the siren but failed thankfully to make the distance to finish the match with a draw.
