Old Ivanhoe v Ajax (Seniors)

A disappointing loss where OIG `s inaccuracy in front of goal cost it dearly . OIG started well , having most of the play in the first quarter ,  but a couple of shots at goal with a bit of bad luck  that hit the post ,meant that we didn`t lead at the end of the term.

Ajax dominated in the second as our inaccuracy continued and held a 15 point margin at halftime.    Mal Mitris at CHB  was playing well , Sam Keogh and Kane Velious as on-ballers held their own and Jack Welham up forward  had two by halftime and was a constant problem for Ajax with his elusive style of play.

The third term was an even affair with Trent Weber providing a spark up forward but Ajax increased their lead to 19 points.

The final term saw a surge from OIG as they kicked the first three goals from Kane  Veliou 2 and Mitris , to get to a goal behind , but that proved their last gasp as Ajax steadied and kicked the next 5 goals to run out comfortable winners.
