Match Details

The Seniors in a high scoring game suffered their third loss for the season and are now 3-3 . In perfect conditions at Chelsworth Park both teams looked to cement a place in the top four and the first term was an even affair with a 6 point advantage to OIG after goals to Welham, Veliou,Velluto and Reeve-Smyth .

The second term was all OIG as their mid-field started to dominate and apply tremendous tackling pressure on Ormond`s ball players. Sam Keogh ,Luke Minaham and Jake Erman  set up goals to Scuderi 2, Velluto and Welham and at half-time it looked like OIG would run away with the game after the main break. But the third term saw Ormand turn on a 10 goal to three blitz  that left OIG looking shell-shocked.

In the final quarter OIG did manage to gain the lead but Ormond to their credit had more gas in the tank and kicked the last few majors to win by 11 points.

Oscar McIntyre and Hamish Matheson put in all day and Velluto, Scuderi and Skok all kicked 3 goals , while Nick Reeve-Smyth and Minaham gave a lot of drive from the center.

Next week at home against Hampton Rovers.
