The reserves showed excellent improvement in recording a 26-point win, 7.9.51 to 3.7.25. The previous time the two sides met, PEGS recorded a very comfortable 38-point win, which indicates the improvement that has occurred over the season. The side now sits only half a game out of the four, with Marcellin sitting just above us. A finals spot may well depend on the final game of the season when the two sides clash at Marcellin.
Jake Erman, returning from an ankle injury showed his class all day with a notable highlight being a screamer in the 3rd quarter which interrupted the Chelsworth Club lunch. He calmly went back and slotted the goal to complete the package; Jake will obviously press for senior selection following this fine performance. Stevie Tsanoudakis played his usual dominant game and Michael Golden was at his unflappable best. Other fine contributors were Alex Bacskos and Josh Begeman who kicked three.
