First Quarter: After a congested opening 5 minutes it was Harry Fraser who put the Hoers first goal on the board. The second came soon after from a pass from Ace Stenta to an unmarked Jack Bradley. Jacob Agrotis was prominent picking up possessions at will. Outstanding teamwork with a chain of 5 handpasses to 5 separate Hoers players saw the ball land in the hands of Harry Fraser who kicked truly. The remaining highlights of the quarter included a Jake Erman blind turn who handballed to Jacob Agrotis who handpassed back to Jake Erman who kicked to an unmarked Jack Bradley for a goal. Harry Fraser also got onto the end of a pass who in turn kicked to a leading Jack Bradley who kicked his third goal of the quarter.

Second Quarter: The Hoers opening goal of the quarter came from a kick from Tony Stenta that was marked by Harry Fraser under pressure and he then kicked a six pointer. UHSVU were playing much better this quarter and were applying pressure that was missing after the opening 5 minutes of the game. Jacko Powell was proving lively during the quarter and Taka took a well timed intercept mark from the UHSVU kick in who kicked to Harry Fraser who took a strong overhead mark and then unselfishly handballed to Jack Bradley in the goal square for a goal. Towards the end of the quarter Harry Fraser once again took a good overhead mark who immediately played on and passed to an unmarked Ace Stenta in the goal square for the Hoers third goal of the quarter.

Third Quarter: After a number of shots at goal from the Hoers in the opening minutes of the quarter it was left up to the mercurial Harry Fraser to dribble through the first gaol of the quarter. The flood gates were starting to open as Harry Fraser and Jack Bradley began to kick goal for goal. A highlight of the quarter was Seamus Gibb’s second effort following up his own handball pounced onto the ball to kick a very good running goal. Another highlight was a Trent Crouch gather followed up by a well weighted pass to Jack Bradley for yet another Hoers goal. Matty Vacirca also got in on the action with a well snapped goal. The low light of the quarter was an arm injury to Nick Marshall who subsequently took no further part in the game.

Final Quarter: Highlights saw Matty Vacirca charging out of defence with the ball, his kick was marked by Ace Stenta who kicked to Jack Bradley for the opening goal of the quarter. More good team work resulted in a Matty Vacirca kick to Harry Fraser for a further goal. Jack Bradley was freed inside 50 meters who then kicked his second for the quarter. Super coach Darren Toll now moved his backmen forward so that they could get into the game but not before Kandi found Mitch French for a goal. The final highlights of the quarter saw Ace Stenta shepherd for Seamus Gibbs who gathered and kicked a fine running goal. Tiger Nagel and Matt Augello now playing forward both kicked a goal prior to the full time siren.
