1. PLAYER REGISTRATION
All players (new and existing) wishing to play with OIGFC in 2019 must complete the VAFA Registration Form at the following link: http://www.vafa.com.au/club-info/player-registrations/ (select “Old Ivanhoe Registration Form”).
Please note: your email address is your unique ID within the system. If the system does not recognise your email address you need to contact Don Dowell on 0458 253 864. Don can also assist you if you are experiencing any other difficulties with registration.
Registration MUST be completed by no later than 31st March 2020 and is essential for you to be insured in the event of an accident. Unregistered players are unable to play for the club due to insurance reasons.
2. PLAYER SUBS
Subs have increased this year due to the increased costs of running the club, however these amounts still remain amongst the lowest in the VAFA. We are also continuing to offer a discount if you pay by 6th March 2020. Alternatively, you can pay the full amount by 31st March 2020. This is the final date for payment – if you do not pay by this date you will be ineligible to play in Round 1.

Players are encouraged to find a sponsor to cover their Subs payment. If you obtain a sponsor, the amount payable by your sponsor is the full amount (ie no discount applies). If you have a sponsor, please provide their details to Steve King on 0407 849 154 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are various ways to pay your Subs:
- Website Online Payment: click here to order and pay via PayPal
- Credit Card / Debit Card payment at the club: present your card at the OIGFC EFTPOS terminal behind the bar at Chelsworth Park. This will be available at all preseason training nights in 2020.

Please note that regardless of whether you are paying your own Subs or a sponsor is paying on your behalf, the payment is due no later than 31 March 2020. If you obtain a sponsor after the due date, your Subs payment will be reimbursed to you following receipt of the payment from your sponsor.
If you will have difficulty paying your Subs by 31 March 2020, please speak directly with Steve King so that alternative arrangements can be made (eg instalment payments).
3. PLAYER INSURANCE
It is important that all players understand the level of insurance coverage made available by the club (via VAFA fees). The extent of coverage is limited and all players are recommended to consider additional, personal health insurance coverage, if they believe the limited cover available does not adequately meet their needs. All players are covered by the VAFA Insurance Program which includes the following coverage in the event of an accident:
- Medical expenses up to $2000
- Paraplegia/Quadriplegia $1,000,000
Further details will be provided when made available by the VAFA. There is no cover for ambulance coverage and the Club is not in a position to contribute any further funds for medical insurance. The Club encourages all players to consider subscribing to appropriate private health insurance, ambulance cover and income protection.
A 6% discount is available if you wish to join Bupa Health Insurance. Please call 1300 305 939 and mention that you wish to obtain the “Family and Friends” discount (Bupa employee reference is Anthony Oates).
