Newly promoted for the 2026 season\, AJAX will arrive with strong momentum and a large\, passionate supporter base\, setting the stage for a big opening contest. \nWe’ll need all the support we can get. With a number of early-season unavailabilities\, Ivanhoe will be slightly undermanned\, making the home crowd more important than ever in lifting the boys across the line. \nWe’re also delighted to welcome special guest Sam Bramham\, an Ivanhoe Grammar School alumnus and Australian Paralympic swimmer. Sam represented Australia at the Paralympic Games and multiple international competitions\, earning medals across a decorated career. Beyond the pool\, he is known for his resilience\, leadership\, and commitment to inspiring others through sport and personal adversity. \nLunch kicks off from 12:00pm\, setting the tone for a big afternoon of football. Known for his pace\, hard running\, and courageous play off the half-back flank\, Johnson became a fan favourite due to his commitment and resilience. Over his career\, he played 235 games and was an integral part of Collingwood’s 2010 premiership team. Despite some injuries and setbacks throughout his career\, he consistently showed determination and leadership on the field.
