We are thrilled to announce that our Round 16 Chelsworth Club Lunch guest speaker will be Matthew Richardson, one of Richmond Football Club’s greatest-ever players and a true legend of the game! 🐯🏉
A Richmond icon, Matthew played an incredible 282 games and kicked 800 goals for the Tigers between 1993 and 2009. He was Richmond’s leading goalkicker a record 13 times, won the Jack Dyer Medal in 2007, was named All Australian three times, and was selected in Richmond’s Team of the Century. He was also inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
Known affectionately as ‘Richo’, Matthew was one of the most exciting and entertaining players of his generation. His passion, athleticism, spectacular marking and goal kicking made him a favourite among the Tiger faithful and football fans across Australia.
